It's been a while since our last post! We've gone from hot, balmy, 30-degree temperatures to bone chilling, arctic vortexy, -30. Here's what we've been up to over the last few months!
We kicked off the fall by staying in this sweet cabin near Mont-Tremblant, where we got to cook lots of food and go hiking and kayaking.
Colin came out to visit! We had a great time patio hopping and checking out some cool pubs and restaurants. Hope you come back, Colin, and we can go to a Hab's game!
Montreal is a pretty beautiful place during the fall. We made the most of the nice weather and spent as much time as we could outside. We even got to watch the Montreal Marathon, which apparently runs right in front of our apartment!
We did a trip down to Vermont to check out the Norman Rockwell-esque city of Burlington. (If Norman Rockwell's pictures included a self-serve Bloody Mary bar....)
For Halloween, we went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Ooh la la!
Cousin Kaleigh came to visit too! We took her to the Biosphere by accident because we meant to go to the Bio-dome... which is way better. Oops! Sorry Kaleigh!
Christmas time was pretty quiet with just the two of us (with the exception of my giant work party!) We opened some presents, went for a walk in the snow and cooked up some food. Thanks for all the cards, presents and holiday wishes that everyone sent us!
And Auntie Linda came to visit! This time, we got it right and went to the Bio-dome. Way better that that boring Biosphere. It had penguins!
We've been trying to brave the frigid arctic vortex and go outside. We checked out the Fetes des Neiges festival, where we went skating and had a look at the frozen St Lawrence. There are a ton of family activities there, like snowshoeing, inner tubing, dog sledding, and they seem to do some sort of child-sled racing thing. Place your bets!
