Sugar Shack

We're still patiently awaiting for normal weather.  Temperatures regularly fluctuate between 21 to minus 5.  The signs of spring are everywhere with little flowers bravely trying to bloom and restaurants setting up their outdoor patios.  We've been keeping ourselves busy by doing a 30 day Bikram's yoga challenge and continuing to explore the city to take in the sights.

Oh hey look.  A giant,
iconic church!

Come on little guy!!! You can do it!

Jean-Talon Market in Little Italy

We visited a Sugar Shack, which is maple syrup farm that also contain a giant restaurant to trap tourists.  They feed you pancakes, baked beans, eggs, sausage, bacon, sugar pie and of course, maple syrup!

Lauren and Laura!
We ate the most unhealthy meal of our life!
Here's the giant dining hall.

Spring is here!

Hi everyone!!!  Happy Easter!!!

Sorry for the long break in between postings!  We've had a busy couple of weeks.  We finally moved out of our hotel to our new place!  The move went well and we're settling in nicely.

The snow removal process is pretty
entertaining to watch.
The first day of spring!!!

In our last few nights at the hotel we tried to play tourist as much as possible.  We went for a walk around Old Montreal and got frozen maple syrup on a stick.  Tastes like cavities!

Notre Dame Cathedral

Going for a romatic horse and carrage ride would be a fun idea,
but not when it's minus 15 degrees out!

We toured Montreal's giant art museam: Musee des Beaux Arts.
We were there for about 3 hours and only made it through the Canadian section.

Here is Atwater Market.  It's full of fresh, local Quebec produce, meat, baked goods and CHEESE.  It's Lauren's new favourite place.

Here's some pictures of our new place.  We finally have a kitchen!!!  We're all moved in and more or less set up.  We're really happy with our new home and have had a great time exploring the new neighbourhood.
